Catalinbread is coming into 2024 with two updates versions of the pedals you all love (or at least know about).
First up is the new Epoch Bias, which expands on the pared down 2020 version of the pedal. The Bias control simulates out-of-spec parts on the original, adjusting the base gain and body of the EP-3, which adds only a trivial amount of gain on its own. Then there’s the Soft Focus Gold, which you might notice sports a lot less Tube Screamer green and a lot more Gold this time around. The new Soft Focus Gold offers a better pre-amp than the original pedal, as well as addresses an issue with the previous bypass where signal loss was an issue. Get it here for $209.99.
