BLACKSTAR Offers A New Look At Their Amped 1 Pedal

Blackstar has teamed up with Amy Woodall of Crawlers for a brand new look at their Dept. 10 Amped 1 pedal.

At its heart, the Dept. 10 Amped 1 is intended to “turn any pedalboard, modeler, or multi-effector into a performance-ready amp and ensures you can take your sound with you anywhere.” The pedal includes a Response Control offering five different valve responses reminiscent of a true valve amplifier and a Power Reduction switch to go between 100 Watts, 20 Watts, and 1 Watt.

Elsewhere, the Dept. 10 Amped 1 offers a reverb that can be edited through Blackstar’s Architect deep-editing software (including type, time, and tone) and a bank of presets that bypass the physical controls of the pedal itself. Simply engage or disengage the preset footswitch to go between the two. And finally, there’s a toggle switch to bring you amplifier models based on US and UK amplifiers, as well as a choice to have things nice and flat.
