APOGEE Offers New Features, Sleeker Design With Duet 3

Apogee is continuing its line of Duet audio interfaces with the brand new, ultra-low profile Duet 3.

The Duet 3 is a 2-in/4-out USB-C audio interface with two best-in-class microphone preamps featuring +60dB of gain and +48V phantom power. The Duet 3 also employs Apogee’s Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture circuit, which dynamically optimizes across a 0–60dB gain range to provide the best possible bandwidth with the lowest possible distortion.

Unlike its predecessors, the Duet 3 features the ECS Channel Strip plug-in. The plug-in offers users EQ, compression, and saturation, all of which were tuned by legendary engineer Bob Clearmountain. This of course is in addition to the Duet 3‘s included Apogee Control 2 software for complete control of all of the Duet 3‘s functions and features. Add in a redesigned breakout cable for better cable management, scratch-resistant gorilla glass, and a streamlined look with an optional Duet Dock and you’re pretty much all set.

The Apogee Duet 3 retails for $599, with the optional Duet Dock going for $149. Grab both here.
