You may know Thomas Giles as the lead singer in the progressive metal band Between The Buried And Me, but you might not know that he makes his own solo music too! That’s right, AND he’s just dropped a new single and announcement for his upcoming record Don’t Touch The Outside, which drops November 9th via Sumerian Records. The single, “Milan” features vocalist Kristoffer Rygg from Ulver laying down some accompanying vocal tracks alongside Giles and also features BTBAM’s own Blake Richardson behind the kit. It’s dark, melancholic, and has a bit of an 80s aesthetic that we dig super hard.
The video itself was directed by Corey Meyers, and the videography was done by Andrew Strelecki. As you can tell, this is an EXTREMELY talented team, as every frame of this music video looks like a movie. Well done, gents.
You can pre-order Don’t Touch The Outside here (there are a plethora of bundle options, including some sweet shirts and sexy splattered vinyl), and be sure to follow Tommy’s Facebook page. His tunes are a must if you’re any sort of fan of progressive music.
