Ultimate Ears unveiled a novel in-ear monitoring gadget at NAMM 2017. The “Sound Tap” is a quick and relatively inexpensive alternative to complicated in-ears systems you practically have to hire someone to rig up for your band.
The Ultimate Ears Sound Tap allows you to plug your in-ear monitors and a stage monitor directly into the box. This sends the stage monitor mix to your in-ears for you to actually hear. The unit likely isn’t suitable for bands that already have dedicated in-ears rigs, but for a quick and easy solution this is it. And at $249.99, it’s a damn bargain.
