I’m pretty excited about the new Meshuggah album, The Violent Sleep of Reason. The band are hitting a real stride in their songwriting these days, but threw a curveball for the recording of this one. Rather than track separately as most metal bands tend to do, these guys played the record live, together. Yeah. For music this insanely demanding and technical, that’s a serious accomplishment.
