We’ve been pretty quiet here at Gear Gods concerning the new Slayer album. It’s not that we’re uninterested so much as it feels so weird to think about this band making another album in what I assume is the same style we’ve always known them for, minus songwriting great Jeff Hanneman. Although I am a huge fan of both Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph, so I’m definitely curious about it, unlike some people.
Slayer have been dropping mini studio clips and interviews over the past few weeks, most recently chronicling the drum tracking for the album. They’ve also got some peeks into the guitar tracking process, as well as a look at what it was like to work with producing great Terry Date. Check out the clips below:
