Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren (ex-Soilwork) is a beastly, beastly man and the best addition to their lineup since Kiko Loureiro joined. In fact, this is the best lineup they’ve had (in this writer’s humble opinion) since the classic Rust In Peace gang.
I haven’t been able to catch them live yet in this form, but the next best thing is available to you here in this pro-shot live drum cam of Dirk jamming through “The Threat is Real” for an eager Dutch crowd, demonstrating why he’s one of the top drummers in metal.
