Extended range? Who the hell even needs four? Not Yves Carbonne, who covered Weather Report‘s classic 1977 track “Teen Town” featuring the insane playing of Jaco Pastorious. It’s one of those covers that would be plenty impressive on just a regular ol’ four string bass, but two strings is… just something else.
“This is a great exercise for improving horizontal playing, something that most bass players never really practice,” said Carbonne. “Important: I don’t own the rights of this song, I just made this video for fun and for showing the potential of the 2-string bass.”
