It’s been kind of a big year for custom drum sticks. Between Mike Mangini of Dream Theater, Ray Luzier of Korn, and more designing really unique, versatile products, it seems like there’s this nice little friendly competition among top tier drummers to design the best stick out there.
So we’re excited to be partnering with Vic Firth to give away a whole bunch of Ray’s new sticks to you, dear readers! I got to mess around with these bad boys at NAMM and they feel great. Ray’s a veteran of countless bands prior to joining Korn in 2009 (he’s recorded and toured with David Lee Roth, Army of Anyone, Billy Sheehan, and others) wanted a combination between the shaft of Vic Firth’s classic 5B and the tip and taper of the Rock stick, and the result is a uniquely comfortable drum stick.
