RIGGED – The Sixxis’ Guitarist Paul Sorah

The Sixxis are a prog-flavored rock band from Atlanta, Georgia who have toured with the likes of Spock’s Beard and the Winery Dogs. Their sound is a highly melodic kind of prog rock, heavy without burdening their excellent, hooky songwriting, but still ambitious enough to give them a bombastic edge.

Guitarist Paul Sorah was kind enough to shoot this video for us detailing his gear. He uses a 2003 Les Paul and a Fuchs Mantis (check out Fluff’s demo of the amp for more sounds) which is a pretty sweet amp, as well as a couple pedals which he switches in a very interesting way. Check out the video for more info on that!

The Sixxis will be opening for Ministry this spring (dates below) so if you’re planning on coming out to see them, then bonus for you!

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
