Watch How a Vinyl Record Gets Pressed in 60 Seconds

I’m usually not one for the whole “watch cool machinery stuff happen” genre of YouTube video, but came across this one and thought you guys would be interested.

Based in the U.K., the Vinyl Factory is a kind of all-in-one music business – a pressing plant, label, media outlet, and show curator. They’ve been cranking out wax since 2001 and obviously these days, if you’ve got a good business model, the demand for vinyl is such that you can create some pretty cool stuff. The company recently released a nice little time-lapse video showing off some of the gizmos that help bring a record from the pressing plant to your local shop. If you want to learn more, the company also has an awesome photo-set and explanatory piece that runs down the process step-by-step.
