I was so happy to stumble upon Cioks on the lower floor of NAMM. I love these power supplies. I have the DC-10 on my own board. Whenever I find myself with particularly needy pedals, like a T.C. Electronics Nova that needs 12v of DC at 400 ma, or even a Mesa Boogie V-Twin with 12v of AC at a full amp, Cioks always seems to have a power supply that does the job.

Other manufacturers always seem to have a caveat, like only providing the special voltage without also supplying standard 9vDC, or not isolating all of the ouput jacks separately, or no switchable 120/240 voltage selector. So I always wind up back at Cioks.

Bonus. I now know how to pronounce the company’s name. It’s basically “chocks.”

Chris Alfano has written about music and toured in bands since print magazines and mp3.com were popular. Once in high-school he hacked a friend's QBasic stick figure fighting game to add a chiptune metal soundtrack. Random attractive people still give him high-fives about that.
