Tony MacAlpine’s Chops Are Fit for a King’s Rhapsody

Like the rest of you, we’re getting excited for the release of legendary fusion/shred pioneer Tony MacAlpine’s new solo record, Concrete Gardens. It’s been four years since his last release, 2011’s Tony MacAlpine, which was the first offering from the guitarist in over ten years. We wrote about his last performance video, as well as his pretty legendary/infamous/hilarious guitar ads from the 80’s, back in January. And since then there’s been a wash of content and hype about MacAlpine’s return.

So needless to say, the guitarist seems fired up. His band recorded a bunch of tunes over at EMG’s headquarters to start getting people pumped. And they certainly work. Check out the newest performance, “The King’s Rhapsody,” below:

Concrete Gardens comes out digitally on April 21st. Get more details on MacAlpine’s website.
