RINGS OF SATURN – “Inadequate” Exclusive Guitar Playthrough

Rings of Saturn guitarists Lucas Mann and Miles Dimitri Baker took some time to blaze through their new single from the forthcoming Ultu Ulla, each on a version of a Schecter Banshee Elite. Interestingly, they’ve also put the modeling debate to rest in their own way, because Miles rocks Bias FX and Lucas uses Kemper. Friends at last. Most importantly, and in true aliencore fashion, “Inadequate” has enough mind-melting riffs and licks to fill a galaxy. The ROS dudes spoke a bit about the track:

‘Inadequate’ was written as a collaborative effort mainly between Lucas and Miles. We wanted to concentrate on logically expanding the RINGS OF SATURN sound in this song, but still maintaining the main elements in our music that our fans have loved since the band’s beginning. Guitars, bass, and synth were recorded at Mann Studios whereas vocals and drums were recorded at Kirkbride Studios, and mixing, mastering, and production was done at Studio 344. Being an experimental band, we are always looking to add in new things and push our limits musically. We hope to inspire others to do so as well.

Ultu Ulla, is all set to drop July 28th. You can find international preorders from Nuclear Blast here, and in the following formats: CD, mint green vinyl (limited to 300 pieces), and a CD/t-shirt/poster bundle. If that isn’t enough for you, though, you can hit up the ROS Official Merch Store for the CD, vinyl in special marble/splatter pressings, and a shitload of clothing designs. The only thing more outlandishly wicked than their music is the artwork and merch designs that accompany it, so be sure to cop some outer space zaniness whenever you get the chance.
