Like them or not, iwrestledabearonce is one of the most original sounding heavy bands to come out in a looooooong time. With a love of tech and a healthy sense of the bizarre, their insane compositions are tough to ignore.
When I interviewed them for our Rigged feature on the band, we went through guitarist Mike Stringer’s AxeFX patches a little bit, but I wasn’t able to get them on film for you to hear. But now, in this playthrough clip of their song “Carbon Copy”, you get to hear why he had a patch marked “Puke”. Also, props to Mike for doing a not-mimed playthrough – this is all live in one take.
