YAMAHA Introduces Three New Revstar Models

Yamaha has given its Revstar line a bit of a facelift, adding in three brand new models across a pretty wide range of prices. The new Revstar line includes the high-end Professional at $1,999, the mid-range Standard at $799, and the affordable Element at $499. All three models offer a chambered body, while the Professional and Standard models offer both P-90 and humbucker options with a passive boost function and five-way switching circuit.

The Element offers a Mahogany body and neck with Rosewood fingerboard, while the Standard adds on a Maple top and carbon-reinforced neck. The Professional tacks on a carbon-reinforced body.

“The original Revstar concept was inspired by cafe racer motorcycles – high-performance racing machines that showcased the personality of the riders,” said Dave Miner, Product Marketing Manager for Electric Guitars at the Yamaha Guitar Group. “The new Revstar series fine-tunes that concept with enhanced playability, versatility and tone, for players interested in classic style with modern upgrades.”
