Strandberg has introduced new finishes for its Boden Bass Standard models, with four- and five-string versions now available in Blue Aura Metallic and Black Metallic.
Both models feature a contoured basswood body and a headless design intended to reduce weight and improve balance. The roasted maple neck uses Strandberg’s EndurNeck profile, reinforced with carbon fiber and walnut, while a multi-scale fingerboard is designed to maintain string tension across the instrument.
The four-string model features a 33–34.5-inch scale, while the five-string extends from 33 to 35 inches. Both feature 24 Jescar stainless steel frets, a 20-inch fingerboard radius, and Luminlay inlays and side markers for visibility on dark stages.
For electronics, the Boden Bass Standard models are equipped with two Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups. A three-way switch selects between passive, full-frequency active, and mid-scooped voices, while a push-pull Master Volume control provides coil-splitting functionality. A pickup Balance control and onboard Fishman preamp with stacked bass and treble EQ round out the controls.
The instruments also feature aircraft-grade aluminum and carbon fiber hardware, including Strandberg’s EGS Rev2 bass bridge.
With both four- and five-string configurations and two metallic finishes, the new options bring Strandberg’s ergonomic, headless design to bassists looking for a versatile instrument with multiple tonal options.
