Strandberg has expanded its more approachable Boden Essential lineup with the Boden Essential 6 Tremolo, adding the company’s Arc TILT tremolo system to its six-string headless guitar.
Unlike many of Strandberg’s higher-end guitars, the Boden Essential 6 Tremolo uses conventional fret placement rather than a multi-scale layout. The guitar features a solid Meranti body paired with a bolt-on roasted Maple neck carved to Strandberg’s distinctive EndurNeck profile and a Rosewood fingerboard.
The headless design works alongside Strandberg’s String Lock system and Arc TILT tremolo bridge, giving players the ability to handle everything from subtle pitch changes to larger dives. The guitar also features 24 stainless steel jumbo frets and a deep double-cutaway body design for upper-fret access.
Electronics come in the form of Strandberg’s Hum Hot Bridge and Hum Vintage Neck humbuckers. The former is voiced for a more aggressive attack and higher-gain applications, while the neck pickup offers a more traditional humbucker sound. Controls consist of Master Volume and Master Tone knobs alongside a five-way pickup selector.
