If you’re a fan of anime, you’re about to be stoked. If not, pink guitars are still cool. PRS just unveiled the SE Rock Lady Limited Edition inspired by Lilisa Suzunomiya, the six-string protagonist of the hit anime Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty.

Based on both the PRS SE Paul’s Guitar model and PRS Artist KANAMI’s (of Japanese rock band BAND-MAID) Limited Edition Custom 24-08, the guitar arrives dressed in a striking Pink Pearl finish, complete with purple pickup bobbins, a black-faced headstock, and a lily illustration adorning the truss rod cover.

Like many of the company’s most popular SE offerings, the Rock Lady starts with a proven recipe: a Mahogany body paired with a Maple veneer top, a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, and PRS’s Wide Fat neck carve with a 25″ scale length and 10″ fingerboard radius.

Loaded with a pair of PRS TCI “S” humbuckers, the guitar benefits from pickup designs that were carefully voiced to provide greater musicality and dynamic response than previous generations of SE pickups.

Helping unlock even more tonal territory is an expanded switching setup. A standard 3-way toggle selector is joined by dual mini-toggle coil taps, allowing players to split either pickup independently. A PRS stoptail bridge provides the tuning stability and sustain that players demand, and yeah – this shreds. It’s also pink as fuck.

“This project has been one of the most creative, out-of-the-box things we have done in a while. Developing a guitar with a fictional artist is not something we do every day. It has been a lot of fun, but this is far more than a commemorative display piece – it’s a true player’s guitar, designed for performance and durability. Ultimately, it’s a musical instrument that is made to be played,” said PRS Guitars COO, Jack Higginbotham.

“When I wrote the opening theme ‘Ready to Rock,’ I wanted it to feel like the moment you decide to step onto the stage and let everything out. It’s exciting to see that energy carried into a real PRS guitar inspired by Lily’s instrument, and I hope players and fans can plug in, turn it up, and experience the world of Rock is a Lady’s Modesty for themselves,” said KANAMI.
