MESA/BOOGIE Announces New JP-2C JOHN PETRUCCI Signature Amplifier

Mesa/Boogie Amplification announced late last week the upcoming release of the JP-2C John Petrucci signature amplifier. After more than 30 years of collaborating with John and Dream Theater, the time has finally come for him to have an amp with his name on it.JP-with-JP2C

Seems like low-hanging fruit to me, and I think they’ll probably sell a metric fuck ton of these. I just don’t know why they didn’t do this before! I know I want to try one baaaaad.

First thing I notice about it is the dual 5-band EQs – and they’re assignable to each channel. PERFECT. I’ve always loved the power of that Mark Series EQ, but it was always only good for one channel (unless you had the Quad Preamp) – now you can have a separate EQ for your rhythm and lead channels.

And there’s a RACKMOUNT VERSION! This thing just gets better and better. There’s also MIDI switching capability, for integration with FX units and more control options. Sweet.
