GIBSON Unveils Expensive KIRK HAMMETT 1979 Flying V

Hey look, Gibson and Kirk Hammett collaborated on a Flying V and it’s REALLY expensive! Yes, Hammett has a brand new Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V model from Gibson based on his own guitar used on all the early Metallica albums.

The Hammett model mirrors every chip and dent from Hammett’s actual model thanks to Gibson’s new Murphy Lab and features a nitrocellulose Ebony finish, an Mahogany body, a 12″-radius Indian Rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of uncovered T-Type humbuckers.

Only 200 of the Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V were hand-made by the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, TN, and you too can own one for the low price of $14,999. Get it here.
