GIBSON Might Bring Back The Les Paul Supreme

Looks like Gibson might throw it back to 2003 with a new line of Les Paul Supremes. While nothing concrete is known at the moment, Gibson brand president and CEO Cesar Gueikian teased the model’s return, posting some body blanks and a caption that reads “A Supreme Friday to be at our Craftory!”

Music Radar further reports that there’s been a since-removed dealer leak and pre-order link for the Les Paul Supreme, though really – why else would Gueikian be teasing the models unless they were in the pipeline of production?

The Les Paul Supreme was originally launched in 2003 as a “new Les Paul.” The Supreme models featured a carved Maple back and a deeper (and chambed) body alongside gold hardware and a massive abalone globe inlay on the headstock. Frankly, they were pretty cool, and it’d be great to see them make a return!
