Gibson has expanded its modern Victory lineup with the launch of the new Victory Floyd Rose, answering one of the most common requests from players by equipping the guitar with a Floyd Rose locking vibrato system.
Built in Nashville,, the latest addition to the Victory family arrives in three gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes – Iguana Burst, Deep Ocean Burst and Translucent Ebony Burst – each designed to showcase the guitar’s AA Figured Maple top.

Originally introduced in the 1980s, the Victory was revived last year with updated appointments while retaining the distinctive shape and identity that made the model a cult favorite among players.
The new Victory Floyd Rose pairs a Mahogany double-cutaway body with an AA Figured Maple top and a 25.5″ scale Mahogany neck carved to Gibson’s SlimTaper profile. An Ebony fretboard features a compound radius, 24 medium jumbo frets and simple acrylic dot inlays, giving the instrument a pretty streamlined appearance.

Up top, a six-on-a-side Explorer-style headstock is fitted with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners and a Floyd Rose locking nut, helping maintain tuning stability during aggressive vibrato use and divebomb-heavy playing. The shred-oriented aesthetic continues throughout the hardware package, with chrome appointments joined by a black five-ply pickguard, black switch tip and black Top Hat control knobs.
The Victory Floyd Rose comes loaded with a pair of uncovered 80s Tribute humbuckers featuring zebra bobbins, a visual nod to the decade that inspired the model’s original design.
The pickups are routed through a master volume and master tone control, both equipped with push/pull functionality. Players can split the humbuckers and access selectable inner and outer coil combinations, significantly expanding the available tonal palette beyond traditional dual-humbucker sounds.

Combined with the three-way pickup selector, the setup delivers everything from full-output humbucker tones to brighter single-coil-style voices. So y’know – you’ve got options, which is always nice.
