EarthQuaker Devices has released a stereo version of its Easy Listening amp simulator, building on the original’s tube-style tone with expanded controls aimed at silent practice, studio work, and live performance.
The original Easy Listening kept things minimal: one input, one output, and a single Volume knob emulating a classic ’60s black-panel tube amp. The Stereo version keeps that same tube-like foundation but adds Bass, Mid, and Treble controls for more detailed tone shaping and better compatibility with the rest of a pedalboard. An Aux knob controls the volume of an auxiliary input, letting players plug in a phone or other audio source to jam along with backing tracks or warm up before a show – that signal bypasses the preamp and cab simulator circuitry entirely, keeping it uncolored.
Dual inputs accommodate stereo pedals directly, with stereo output available via a 1/4″ headphone jack and XLR outputs. A Ground Lift switch is included to cut down on hum in studio or live settings. Even when only the mono input is used, the pedal widens the signal into a stereo field through its outputs, making it useful for adding dimension to reverbs, delays, and modulation effects, or for enriching the sound of a modeler.
The pedal remains 100% analog, with no menu diving or IR loading required, sticking to EarthQuaker’s straightforward, hands-on design philosophy. Every EarthQuaker Devices pedal is handbuilt in the company’s Akron, Ohio workshop using premium components, part of a lineup that ranges from enhanced classics like the Park Fuzz to more experimental effects like the Rainbow Machine.
