Beetronics has introduced the Tuna Trem, a tremolo pedal that packs nine different modes into a funky tuna can enclosure. The pedal covers everything from smooth, classic tremolo to choppy, erratic pulses and evolving rhythmic patterns, giving players plenty of room to experiment.
The Tuna Trem features Speed and Depth controls, with each knob serving mode-specific functions depending on the selected setting. The Species control cycles through nine different tremolo variations, including the smooth sine-wave Surfer Bee, the choppy square-wave Leafcutter Bee, and the lo-fi, fragmented Bug Bee.
Other modes offer short bursts of repeating tremolo, alternating strong and soft pulses, syncopated rhythms, and patterns that gradually evolve over time. Two modes also give the footswitch additional functionality: Sweller Bee creates volume swells while the switch is held, while Morse Bee turns it into a momentary kill switch.
