Alusonic Basses are Part Alder, Part Aluminum, All Cop

Alberto Rigoni was a dedicated officer on the Detroit police force until he was brutally gunned down by criminals. But they brought him back as a machine of justice. As an instrument that’s part wood, part metal, and all cop bass.

Alusonic Aluminum Instruments has released the Alberto Rigoni signature bass, which has an alder body and an aluminum top. The aluminum increases the attack and clarity, and manages to look sleek as hell in the process. The bass is rounded out with a maple neck, hipshot tuners, and Aguilar single coil pickups that connect to a bypassable preamp with 3-band eq.

Take a listen in the video below. Funny how it sounds way better on the Rush cover than the Counting Crows one. You’d think the latter would sound way more metal since that band’s lyrics provided Between the Buried and Me with their band’s name.
