NAMM 2016 – Charvel Guitars Has Seriously Upped Their Game

One of the highlights of NAMM in terms of guitars was, for me, Charvel. Came completely out of left field. I’ve never followed this company closely (or really known anyone who swears by their instruments), but after getting a peek at the new specs and revamped designs for their pro-mod guitars, I’m pretty impressed.

Basically, Charvel have made almost all of their guitars – which maintain their simple design and florid color scheme – freshly versatile, with an array of pickup and coil tap/phase options on the body of the guitar, with only one switch. We were lucky enough to get a tour from former Soilwork guitarist Peter Wichers, who is now in product development with Fender (Charvel’s parent company). Check it out:
