NAMM 2015 – TREE AUDIO’s All-Tube Everything

I’m not sure exactly what inspired the name of this company, but Tree Audio‘s gear appears to be pretty solid, so that might be the metaphor. I certainly don’t think it’s because it sounds wooden, but as everything they make is tube-powered, an organic sound might be the visual they were going for. Either way, the various Tree Audio products are accordingly named – the Trunk, Stem, Branch, and the Roots (?uestlove not included).

Even as the tube debate rages on, there are some who are prepared to pay top dollar for fine tube console equipment, and those people will pay dearly for this stuff. Holy hell is it expensive! But then again, this isn’t for the home audio enthusiast, these are mostly for big studio installations or high-end project studios. I’d be real interested to hear them in action, that’s for damn sure.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
