LA AMP SHOW – Animals As Leaders’ Javier Reyes Plays Solo

What do you do when Tosin’s car gets towed and he can’t make it to the Fractal Booth at the LA Amp Show in time to play? You get on with the damn show, is what. Javier Reyes is a total BAMF and a professional, so he just did it up, played his parts for AAL, jammed some Mestis (his solo project) and called it a day.

Lucky for us, he was kind enough to allow us to shoot his performance, and so we have it for you here. It’s a pretty rare opportunity to hear the second guitar parts for these songs really well, demonstrating how hard and weird they are to play.

I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
