The Gear Gods & PRS Photoshop Contest – Win a Guitar!

Gear Mortals, this is a big one – we have teamed up with the one and only Paul Reed Smith guitar company to bring you a new contest for a seriously killer prize – this PRS 30th Anniversary SE Floyd Custom 24 Quilt Top!

^ This image is a PNG with a transparent background, use THIS one for your picture!

Here’s how the contest works: we are looking for the best picture integrating the guitar. You can use Photoshop, Gimp, MS Paint – any program you like – OR you can even print out the guitar and glue it onto something. Any way you can get the guitar into a picture, then back onto the internet, is cool with us.

THEN! Upload the picture to Facebook. Not Twitter, not Instagram, not Friendster – FACEBOOK. Like & tag both the Gear Gods and PRS Guitars pages and use the hashtag #PRSGearGods.

This is very important – you must have your privacy settings so that we can see the pic. Otherwise, we can’t very well include it, can we?

Then you play the waiting game.

We the judges (from both PRS and Gear Gods) will be judging the entries based on the creativity and quality, not by number of likes, shares, upvotes, or anything else – it’s not a popularity contest. It can be funny, epic, bizarre, abstract, whatever – we’re just going to pick the best one.

The contest is open to US and Canada residents only.

Here’s some examples to get you started:

Official rules:

Open to residents of US and Canada only.

ONE ENTRY per participant – so make it count!

Contest officially begins August 31st, 2015 and ends September 13th, 2015, with a winner declared shortly thereafter.

Any images used remain the sole property of their original copyright holders.

Official contest sponsors are PRS and Gear Gods. Judgement of all entries and declaration of a winner from Gear Gods and PRS is final and solely at our discretion.

The winner will be notified via Facebook message, so be sure to check your “Other” folder in your inbox.

If you’re reading this, the contest has already begun – so what are you waiting for?

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
