JHS has combined two of its most popular dirt circuits into one pedal with the new Wanderer, pairing the Morning Glory with the NOTAKLÖN in a flexible 2-in-1 design.
Each side gets its own set of controls. The Morning Glory features Volume, Drive, and Tone controls alongside a Gain toggle for its higher-gain mode and a Hi-cut switch for taming high frequencies. The NOTAKLÖN side offers Volume, Gain, and Treble controls, plus a +/- switch that adds 4dB of gain, boosts the midrange, and engages an additional hard-clipping stage.
An Order toggle lets players choose which circuit comes first, allowing the Morning Glory to feed into the NOTAKLÖN or vice versa. More interestingly, each circuit has its own top-mounted Input and Output jacks. That means the two sides can be used independently, integrated separately into a loop switcher, or have other effects placed between them.
Wanderer also features two Red Remote jacks. An optional JHS Red Remote can switch the Morning Glory between its standard and high-gain modes, while another can engage the NOTAKLÖN’s higher-gain Shamrock mod.
JHS founder Josh Scott says his preferred setup is using the Morning Glory as an always-on boost before stacking the NOTAKLÖN for heavier rhythm sounds, with the Red Remotes providing additional gain options.
The Wanderer rounds things out with buffered bypass and silent soft-touch switching, essentially cramming two established JHS circuits and a ton of routing flexibility into one enclosure.
