NAMM 2014 Debriefing – Chapman Guitars

Rob Chapman (or Chappers as he’s known) runs a YouTube channel with an interesting mix of gear demos/reviews, guitar lessons (occasionally dressed as a dragon no less) and blistering performance videos that also serve as advertisements for his line of Chapman Guitars. I enjoy them because like me, he has an affinity for Tele-style body and headstock shapes and heavy music, and the new 2014 lineup pictured here is no exception.

An interesting note, Rob’s design process involves taking votes on his website for which options the public most craves on their axes and implements those features into the guitars. While this could seem like a too-many-cooks situation, the results are surprisingly cohesive (credit harris). Check out the video below and let Chappers give you the full story.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
