FIRST FRAGMENT – “Le Serment de Tsion” Drum Playthrough, Tourdates Announced

First Fragment combines all the things I like about tech-death, and none of the things I don’t, into a delicious fragrant stew of meaty metal. A dash of chunky, a pinch of melody, and a hefty dose of killer drumming from Samuel Santiago (as evidenced by this drum playthrough) makes for a hearty meal.

Here’s what Samuel has to say about it:

Hi everyone! Here is my first official drum playthrough video for First Fragment. This is “Le Serment de Tsion” off our debut album “Dasein”, which was released by Unique Leader Records last year. Having joined the band just after the recording of Dasein was completed, this is my own slightly different interpretation of the track. This is the same version I play live. It’s very challenging to reach this constant level of intensity. I am very pleased with the final result and I hope you will dig it just as much. I would like to thank my endorsers Meinl Cymbals, Los Cabos Drumsticks & Trickdrums USA for their high-quality and unbreakable products. Come see us on our upcoming US tour with Vale of Pnath & Virvum starting on September 29 in Chicago, IL!

This song is from their new album “Dasein”, out now on Unique Leader.

Catch them on tour at any of these dates:

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
