Unless you’ve been living under a rock with no internet (actually that sounds kinda nice), then you’ve probably become aware of The Giacomo Turra Situation. This guitarist was busted stealing licks from other, better guitarists, and selling the tabs for them on his very popular IG account. BIG drama – and not the first time we’ve seen this kind of drama in the Insta guitar community, which has been plagued by scandals of fakery accusations and all kinds of ridiculousness. But what’s REALLY at the heart of this problem? Is it really as simple as just some guitarists were ripped off by one individual, and that’s the end of it? Or is there a deeper issue at play here?
