SEYMOUR DUNCAN Unveils New JOE BONAMASSA Pickup Set

There are gear heads, and then there’s Joe Bonamassa. Dude’s collection makes most stores look like child’s play. So when the guy says one of his guitars is one of the best he’s ever played, he’s probably right.

Joe Bonamassa is of course talking about his 1951 Fender Nocaster and its P.A.F Humbucker with flat-pole single-coil bridge pickup. Those pickups have now been recreated for the brand new Joe Bonamassa Bludgeon 1951 Nocaster set, which is precisely what we’ve just described above.

The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop team duplicated the P.A.F neck humbucker with a rough cast Alnico 2 magnet, and did the same with the single-coil. Next, the team captured the bright response and hot output that makes the bridge pickup so special to Joe.

The Joe Bonamassa Bludgeon 1951 Nocaster set is available here for $340. The humbucker is available separately for $190, as is the single coil for $150.
