Schecter has brought back one of its rarer bass models with the Schecter Devil 4, because apparently Schecter is bringing back all the stuff I loved as a teenager.
Built around a contoured Mahogany body with a carved Mahogany top, the Schecter Devil 4 features a 3-piece Maple neck-through design reinforced with carbon fiber rods for added stability. The neck is topped with an inlay-free Ebony fingerboard carrying 20 jumbo frets, while the minimalist aesthetic continues with Black hardware and a Satin Black finish.
Electronics are equally straightforward. A single EMG MMCS active humbucker in the bridge position provides the bass’s voice, paired with only a master volume control and a dedicated kill switch. The MMCS pickup is known for delivering thick low end, pronounced midrange punch, and a clear top end while EMG’s onboard active preamp provides consistent output and low-noise performance.
Other appointments include a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut, Schecter Diamond Custom bridge, and Schecter-branded tuning machines designed to maximize sustain and tuning stability.
