PRS Guitars just announced their 2017 SE line up, so let’s dive in and see what is new for 2017. First off, PRS has a new headstock logo. It uses Paul’s signature like the higher end PRS guitars, but just adds a “SE” underneath it. I think it looks really awesome and very clean.

PRS also redid the pickups on all the SE models. The new PRS 85/15 “S” pickups are in every SE guitar except the two signature models, the Santana and the Tremonti. Don’t fret, PRS has worked closely with both artists to update the pickups in their guitars. Along with the updated pickups, 2017 Santana SE has 24 frets and a new control layout.

The PRS SE277 baritone is also on the list of new guitars for 2017. This one has the new PRS S pickups and is tuned B to B with a 27.7 inch scale length.

  • I just saw the PRS baritone yesterday. I wonder what the price point is.
