New Cinematic Mini-Doc “Guitarist” Explores MISHA MANSOOR’s Love Of Guitar

Misha Mansoor is a guitaraholic. The first time I met him at NAMM 2015 he was carrying a camera, and I asked him what he’d been shooting at the show. “Big surprise – guitars, guitars, more guitars.” he said as he flipped through the probably hundreds of shots he’d taken of the various axes throughout the show floor. He’s an unabashed collector, but also has a signature model through Jackson.

In this mini documentary from filmmaker Alex Wohleber, Misha talks about his love for the instrument, how he expresses himself through it, and how it makes him feel. It’s got an original soundtrack by Misha as well and was submitted as an entry into the My Rode Reel short film contest, where you can vote you can vote for it if you like.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
