The classic Randy Rhoads signature model has finally arrived in Jackson’s mid-price Pro Plus series, though it’s anything but “budget” when it comes to its appointments. The new Pro Plus models offer Okoume bodies and 3-piece Maple/Walnut/Maple necks, as well as Ebony fingerboards with the classic Jackson sharkfin inlays.

The models come loaded with a Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6N humbucker in the neck and a a Duncan Distortion TB-6 in the bridge, all controlled by volume and tone knobs, and a three-way pickup switch. You’ll be able to safely divebomb on the Pro Plus models too, thanks to the Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo.

“Jackson’s first customer was the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, who asked us to create a model that met the demands of his technically challenging playing with visual panache,” wrote Jackson of the guitars. “The result continues to evolve in order to meet and exceed the needs of players who came of age listening to his groundbreaking work. The Pro Plus Series Rhoads RR24PS is a proud claimant to the throne of high-tech guitars.”

The Pro Plus Series Rhoads RR24 is available in Black and White for $1,499 each, the sunburst-looking Firestorm finish for $1,599, and then a shiny Mirror finish for $1,699. Check it all out here.
