The ESP Guitars LTD EC-1000 has earned its reputation as one of the most dependable modern single-cut guitars on the market, combining classic construction with features designed for high-performance playing.
Its Mahogany body and set-thru neck construction give the guitar a thick, sustaining voice with strong mids and solid low-end response. The set-thru design also improves upper-fret access, making lead work and technical playing feel noticeably easier than on many traditional single-cut designs.
The three-piece Mahogany neck uses ESP’s Thin U profile and comes paired with a Macassar ebony fingerboard and 24 extra-jumbo stainless-steel frets. The stainless frets are a major plus for players who put serious hours into their instruments, offering both durability and a slick feel.
A big part of the guitar’s flexibility comes from its Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. The neck position uses an Alnico pickup while the bridge uses a Ceramic model, giving the guitar a wide tonal range that covers everything from clean, articulate passages to tight, aggressive high-gain tones. Push/pull controls allow access to multiple voicings, making it easy to shift between modern active-style punch and more dynamic sounds.
A TonePros locking Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece improve sustain and tuning stability, while LTD locking tuners make restringing faster and help the guitar stay reliable through long rehearsals and live sets.
