Jon Gomm Teams With IBANEZ for New JGM5 Acoustic

Modern acoustic guitar legend Jon Gomm has teamed up with Ibanez once again for a second signature acoustic. The all-new JGM5 takes after its predecessor, the JGM10, with many of the same features at nearly $2,000 less.

Much like the JGM10, the JGM5 features an Asymmetrical Jumbo body with Thermo Aged Spruce Modified X-M Bracing and a Thermo Aged Solid Sitka Spruce top with Pau Ferro back and sides. The JGM5 also boasts a African Mahogany and Pau Ferro 5-piece neck with a 20-fret Macassar Ebony fretboard, as well as a Macassar Ebony body binding all around.

Topped off with an active Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend and Fishman PowerTap Earth Blend preamp, the JGM5 sounds great plugged-in as much as it does unplugged. For additional output options, the JGM5 offers dual outputs – one stereo/mono output and one mono flush.

“This was the dream,” said Gomm of the guitar. “A high-quality/zero-compromise guitar that’s affordable and accessible, specially designed for modern fingerstyle players.”

The JGM5 is available here for $1,499.98.
