JACKSON Introduces New MJ Series, Including Misha Mansoor Signature Guitar

Jackson is throwing it back to the 1990s, though without all the gaudy aesthetics. Instead, Jackson has introduced the world to its new MJ Series, which is a throwback in that the entire series is attentively crafted in Japan much like Jackson used to do.

The MJ Series just launched with Dinky, Rhoads, and Soloist body shapes featuring premium woods, Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio pickups, three or five-piece necks, Luminlay side dots, Gotoh GE1996T Series double-locking tremolo bridge system or Jackson TOM-style adjustable bridge with anchored tailpiece, color matched headstocks, and much more.

The series features an MJ Series Rhoads RRT, with an alder body, a through-body three-piece maple neck with graphite-reinforcement rods, 22 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, Luminlay glow-in the-dark side dots, and Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 bridge and Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2N neck pickups. The Rhoads also comes loaded with a Jackson TOM-style adjustable bridge with anchored tailpiece, Gotoh sealed die-cast locking tuners and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.

There’s also the brand new MJ Series Signature Misha Mansoor So-Cal 2PT, which features a lightweight basswood So-Cal body and bolt-on caramelized maple neck with rock-solid graphite reinforcement, Luminlay glow-in the-dark side dots, and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets. As you’d expect from Mansoor, the So-Cal 2PT comes with Bare Knuckle Ragnarok humbucking bridge and Bare Knuckle Trilogy single-coil middle and neck pickups. The So-Cal 2PT has a Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo system, as well as Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh die-cast locking tuning machines.
