Ibanez has teamed up with German shred phenom Manuel Gardner Fernandes for the brand new, totally headless MGFM10 signature model.
The MGFM10 offers up a Nyatoh body with a Quilted Maple top, a Parallel Wizard-styled 3-pieve Roasted Maple and Bubinga neck, topped off with a Roasted Birdseye Maple fretboard with Mother of Pearl Step off-set dot inlays and 24 frets.
The MGFM10 comes loaded with two Q58 pickups controlled by a dyna-MIX10 switching system with Alter Switch, which includes a Power Tap mode to provide a realistic single coil sound despite its two humbucker pickup layout.
The MGFM10 is finished with a Obsidian Black Low Gloss and gold hardware, including the pickguard.
“I chose the Q because I’m on tour all the time, and I need a guitar that is slim and easy to handle,” said Fernandes of the model. “I’m in love with gold, especially with guitars. We looked for a color that would go with gold.
“We looked for rose and white, but we came down with black with the exotic wood. It’s an all-time classic. To now be a signature [Ibanez] artist is a dream come true.”
