Ibanez has once again teamed up with prog guitarist Luca Mantovanelli for a second signature model, the LM10. The LM10 offers up an Alder body, a Roasted Maple neck with Ibanez’s AZ Oval C profile, and an Ebony fingerboard loaded with jumbo stainless steel frets.
The ergonomics are equally refined. Ibanez’s deep forearm contour, sculpted rear body carve, and Super All Access Neck Joint offers easy upper fret access, while the asymmetrical body contours allow the instrument to sit naturally however you’re playing.
Abalone dot inlays and luminescent side markers add subtle premium touches without overwhelming the instrument’s clean, modern aesthetic. Tonally, the LM10 strikes an especially compelling balance thanks to its Seymour Duncan Fortuna S-S-H pickup configuration. And no – there’s no Alter Switch.

“The LM10 is a bit different from the the standard models of a because in this case, I chose a guitar without the Alter Switch and I have just a five-way switch with volume and tone. As you know, I like simple colors like my first signature guitar, which was White. This one is Mint Green.”
Hardware choices further reinforce the instrument’s professional focus. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability while speeding up string changes, and the Gotoh T1502 tremolo system combines steel saddles with a die-cast zinc block for enhanced articulation and quick response. The 10.5mm string spacing creates a comfortable picking feel, while the snap-in tremolo arm design simplifies setup and adjustment.
