Ibanez Drops New Iceman IC420 in Gold Finish

Ibanez is bringing the icy goodness to your doorstep with their brand new Ibanez Iceman IC420, now available in a Gold finish. Personally, I think they should’ve gone for Green considering the “420” in the name, but that would be exceedingly dumb and on the nose. Anyway!

Built with an Okoume body and a 3-piece set-in Okoume neck, the IC420 delivers a resonant, sustain-rich foundation with plenty of upper-mid bite. A Jatoba fingerboard with 22 medium frets, Cream binding, and Acrylic and Abalone parallelogram inlays reinforce the guitar’s unmistakably vintage-inspired aesthetic, while the gloss Polyurethane finish and Gold hardware ensure it stands out like… well, like anything shiny and gold. Which this is.

The IC420 is loaded with a pair of Ibanez Super 80 humbuckers, delivering a bright, articulate take on the classic PAF formula with enough output to drive modern high-gain amplifiers. Chrome pickup covers featuring the iconic “Flying Finger” etching add another nice little visual touch, which is sure to start at least one conversation with someone at every show whether you want it or not.

Rounding out the package is a Gibraltar Performer bridge paired with a Quik Change III tailpiece for excellent sustain, dependable tuning stability, and fast string changes, making the Iceman IC420 every bit as practical as it is distinctive.
