World-renown shredders Guthrie Govan and Rick Graham are the latest Charvel artists to have new, excellent-looking signature models. Both signature models were manufactured exclusively in Japan and will unfortunately not enable you to play like either Govan or Graham. Still, they’re pretty nice guitars.
The all-new Guthrie Govan Signature MJ San Dimas SD24 CM features a San Dimas basswood body with an ash top and specially-contoured heel sans neck plate, a bolt-on maple neck with a satin finish on the back, and a caramelized maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets, crème dot inlays, and Luminlay side dots.
The Guthrie Govan Signature MJ San Dimas SD24 CM also features three specially wound Charvel custom pickups and a two-way mini toggle switch to engage single-coil simulation in both the bridge and neck humbuckers. The Guthrie Govan signature is available in Three-Tone Sunburst finish with chrome hardware, and retails here for $2,599.99.
Then there’s the Rick Graham Signature MJ DK24 2PT CM. The Rick Graham signature features a basswood Dinky body with a scalloped lower back bout and sculpted shredder’s cut heel, a bolt-on caramelized maple neck with a satin finish on the back, and a caramelized maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets, crème dot inlays, and Luminlay side dots.
The Rick Graham Signature MJ DK24 2PT CM features a custom Rick Graham Bare Knuckle HSS pickup set and a five-way blade switch. The Rick Graham signature is available in a Celeste finish and retails here for $2,699.99.
