ESP is now streaming a demo of their brand new LTD Horizon Custom ’87 featuring the playing of Cameron Stucky. The LTD Horizon Custom ’87 takes the archtop body of the ESP Horizon, and offers it exactly as you’d have found it in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Which is perfect if you’re looking for a throwback with modern appointments… or you just miss Shrapnel Records. Whatever.
The LTD Horizon Custom ’87 guitar offers neck-thru-body construction at 25.5” scale for intense sustain, pairing an Alder body and an extra-thin 3-piece Maple neck. The Horizon Custom ’87 features a Macassar Abony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets and no inlays, a Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo, a Seymour Duncan TB-5 Custom Trembucker in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the neck position. Coil spitting for single-coil tones on either or both pickups is available via push-pull controls on the volume and tone knobs.
The LTD Horizon Custom ’87 is available here for $1,499 in Black, Pearl White, and Candy Apple Red.
Should you not be too sure on how cool the LTD Horizon Custom ’87, allow Sammy Duet of Goatwhore and Acid Bath fame to assure you – “this thing is sick, dude. This is the LTD Horizon Custom and this feels exactly like the old ones I’ve played from the ’80s. It’s unbelievable.”
