Ernie Ball Music Man began teasing the new Goldie version of the St. Vincent signature guitar earlier this year. Now, after I’m sure much longing for that tone and the accompanying aesthetic, they’re available!
The Ernie Ball Music Man Goldie employs a lightweight okoume body, roasted figured maple neck with reversed headstock, and a rosewood or ebony fretboard depending on which body color you choose. The Ernie Ball Music Man Goldie also features three newly-designed Ernie Ball Music Man gold foil mini humbucking pickups with a pretty retro looking cover and an intuitive 5-way switching arrangement to give you a variety of tones.
The Ernie Ball Music Man Goldie also covers the majority of itself with a 3-ply parchment pickguard underneath the pickups for a more traditional aesthetic, and of course to add a pretty great look. Combined with its unique body shape, stainless steel frets, chrome hardware, and a smooth-action, the Goldie simply kicks ass.
The Goldie is available in Cashmere, Velveteen, and Silk Charmeuse for $2,999 here.
