Guitar Center just rolled out their Memorial Day weekend sale and it’s got a lot of really good stuff. So much good stuff in fact, that I’m just going to parse all this all into a few different collections.
While there are a lot of guitars on sale, a very good chunk of ’em lean heavily into modern rock, metal, shred, and progressive players, with major discounts across Schecter, Jackson, Ibanez, Charvel, ESP LTD, EVH, and Ernie Ball Music Man.
A large portion of the promotion focuses on high-performance instruments with Floyd Rose systems, extended-range configurations, signature artist models, and premium appointments like stainless frets, neck-through construction, and Fishman Fluence pickups. There are also numerous open-box and blemished savings opportunities layered on top of the listed discounts, making several already-aggressive prices even more tempting for deal hunters.
Schecter and Jackson dominate the heavier side of the sale. Schecter’s C-1 Platinum, Hellraiser, PT-7 MS, PT-8 MS, Sun Valley Super Shredder, and Sunset 7-string models all target players looking for modern metal features without jumping into boutique pricing territory.
Jackson counters with everything from affordable JS-series seven-strings up through American Series Soloists, Rhoads, Virtuosos, and signature models for Misha Mansoor, Jeff Loomis, Phil Demmel, and Dave Davidson. Several of the strongest percentage cuts in the sale land on Jackson X Series and Ibanez Premium models, with discounts reaching as high as 35% off.
Ibanez and Charvel provide much of the shred-focused appeal here. The RG550 Genesis, RGT1270PB Premium, S770, JEMJR, and even a high-end Joe Satriani signature model all see substantial markdowns.
Charvel’s DK24, So-Cal, and San Dimas lines appear throughout the promotion with multiple finish options and tremolo configurations, making this a particularly good window for players chasing hot-rodded Strat-style guitars. Meanwhile, ESP LTD and EVH cover the hard rock and classic metal crowd with EC-1000 variants, Kirk Hammett signatures, Wolfgangs, SA-126 models, and the limited-edition EVH Star.
At the premium end, several Ernie Ball Music Man models also receive notable cuts or in-cart discounts, including the JP15 7-string, Luke 4, Axis, and StingRay HT. Even though those remain expensive instruments, the combination of sale pricing, financing offers, and open-box availability makes this one of the more substantial upper-tier guitar promotions currently running.
